    The Mini-Cassia area of south central Idaho is rarely described on maps or legal documents. Minidoka and Cassia counties comprise this geographic area, which is actually a portmandeau, a phrase that combines two words into one. The two counties share a rich and fascinating interlocking history, beginning with the early Pioneer Trails, arrival of the railroad and the opening of the area for homesteading as the Minidoka Dam delivered water to nearly a million acres of farmland throughout the Magic Valley.

    The first D.L. Evans Bank branch opened in 1904 and was originally located in a modest one-story building. It became the first bank in Cassia County, marking a key milestone in the community’s financial growth. In 1910, we moved to a larger two-story building and, in 1970, relocated to our current spot at the intersection of Market Avenue and Main Avenue, near Albion City Park and across from the City of Albion Office. Today, D.L. Evans Bank is the only bank in Albion, proudly serving the local community for over 120 years. 

    D.L. Evans Bank has expanded tremendously throughout the years, alongside the communities it serves. The Bank has grown to more than $3 billion in assets with 39 full-service branches.
