- Settled: First settled in 1868 by Wilson Robbins, Niels Georgesson and Soren Hansen settled on Battle Creek’s east bank
- Origin of Name: Named after Thomas Treasure, an early settler and its first postmaster in 1881
- Historical Overview: Primarily a farming and agricultural area; its first church was erected in 1906 and first school in 1909; had a post office 1881-1940, a calcite mine operated in the area for years and had a gas station, church and seveal schools; located in northern Franklin County, it was the last community to get electricity in 1940, and phone service in the 1950s; several dairies operated there for many years; has a cemetery
