- Settled: 1893, as an outgrowth of nearby Fielding; on October 14, 1894, LDS apostles Heber J. Grant and Francis M. Lyman reorganized the Fielding and South Plymouth wards,forming a new ward called Riverside
- Origin of Name: The newly formed ward was called “Riverside,” because of it location close to the river
- Known for: When first settled, homes were moved to Riverside from Plymouth and Fielding; this agricultural community is known for its farmland
- Notable Features: In 1841 the Bartelson-Bidwell party followed a trail into the area at the base of the hills. Interstate 15 closely follows the old trail; early landmarks of Riverside included large barns at the Capener, Richards, Hadfield, and Welling homesteads; another landmark to the north is Plymouth Peak with its beautiful view of Riverside and the Bear River Valley.
- Location: Located on the west side of the Malad River, 6.6 miles north of Tremonton on Hwy 13
- Population in 2023: 1,238- up from 720 from 2010 census
