Origin of Name: Since the deeded land helped maintain the nearby college, the new community (local ecclesiastical units of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are known as ‘wards,) the newly-formed community became known as College Ward
Known for: An agriculture-based community, with a high quality of living, located about mid-way between Logan and Wellsville on Hwy 89
