  • Origin of Name: Named by William B. Preston for Chesterfield, England, the birthplace of Chester Call
  • History: Call persuaded 12 families to return to the area and establish a settlement; a post office was established there from 1893 until it was closed in 1965; this remote, isolated farming community is in the process of being restored by concerned citizens, with many homes and buildings now fully restored; now it’s primarily a farming community with no services but the restored general store, and classified as a ghost town by Google
  • Location:  26.9 miles northwest (30 minutes) of Soda Springs on Hwy 30 W, and Old Hwy 30 W
