  • Original Name:  Rowville, after Mormon pioneer William H. Rowe
  • Origin of Name: Named in 1894 for John R. Bothwell, president, engineer and promoter of the local Bothwell canal system
  • Known for:  Many early settlers were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or German members of Christian Apostalic Faith; originally an agricultural center, it is now the site of many industrial concerns; during 1930s – early 1960s about a fourth of the area’s farmers raised turkeys; unincorporated in 1937 to issue bonds for culinary water
  • Notable Features: Cemetery, LDS Church; Wagonland Adventures, known as being the largest privately-owned collection of horse-drawn carriages in the world is located in Bothwell, west of Tremonton on Hwy 102
  • Location:  4.5 miles (7 minutes) west of Tremonton on Main Street, then N on 11200 N
