  • Settled: 1863 and 1864 by Jonathan Bowen and Henry Busenbark, who were looking for pasture land
  • Origin of Name: Named after the numerous beaver dams present on Beaver Creek when it was settled
  • Known for: Jim Bridger, credited as the first white man to enter Cache Valley, is assumed to have traveled through the Beaver Dam area; famous explorer John C. Fremont traveled through the area in 1843; the first co-op dairy in Utah was established here in 1868; the early ag-based economy has evolved to become a desired bedroom community to Cache and Bear River Valleys
  • Location: 12.9 miles (17 minutes) northeast of Tremonton, on Hwy 102, then Hwy 30 E, near the mouth of Willow Creek
