  • Origin of Name: Named after the Bear River, main tributary of Great Salt Lake
  • Known for: Largely an agricultural area, historically raised garden produce, but now mostly grain, hay and silage corn
  • Notable Features: The first houses were dugouts
  • Local Events:  24th of July Parade and Rodeo 
  • Location:   8.2 miles (11 minutes) south of Tremonton on Hwy 13 S: 11.7 miles (16 minutes) northwest of Brigham City on Hwy 13 N
  • Population: 2022 Census: 878
