  • Original Name:  Also known as Church Farm; later the town became known as Millville, after the lumber and grist mills on the Blacksmith Fork River
  • Origin of Name: Named after the elk horns in the area
  • Known for: The first early settlement in Cache Valley; the Blacksmith Fork River was named during the mountain man era, after trappers left a cache of blacksmith tools stashed in the ground over an early winter; returning the next summer, they uncovered their tools from their cache
