  • Settled: Pratt Branch was organized Nov. 24, 1912
  • Original Name: Originally called Pratt Branch (branch is a local Mormon congregation), after a local church leader named “Parley Pratt;” but not the well-known Parley P. Pratt of early Mormon history, but may have been his descendent, or another member of his family
  • Origin of Name: Named after Spring Creek, which ran through the area before emptying into the Snake River
  • Known for: Historically a farming community, it has become a desired residential area, especially along the Snake River’s southern bank 
  • Notable Features: LDS church, bean warehouse; at one time had a general store on Hwy 30, Springdale Elementary School and a stage stop in the early days 
  • Location: 5 miles east of Burley on Hwy 30E to about 700 E, south of the Snake River to 400 S.
  • No population estimates on this unicorporated rural community
