  • Founded:  By Mormon settlers in the late 1800s
  • Original Name:  Riverside was selected as the community name, but was rejected by the Post Office
  • Origin of Name: Named after Grace Standrod, wife of D.W. Standrod, a government official in Blackfoot
  • History:  Post office established in 1894, has city hall, fire department, LDS church, dentist office, motel, private golf course, landing strip, bank, grocery store, drug store, bank, small engine repair and various agricultural-related businesses; primarily a residential and agricultural community 
  • Location: 11.6 miles (12 minutes) west of Soda Springs on ID-30 W, then south on ID-34 W
  • Population:   953 in 2024, up from 920 at 2020 census
