- Known for: Benson and Hyde told the populace their location was really “a city on a hill,” a reference to a biblical allegory; Smithfield Blue Sox, semi-pro baseball team; a temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is currently under construction on its west side
- Local Celebrations: Health Days, celebrated in May is dedicated to improving the health of citizens; numerous local celebrations held throughout the year
