Origin of Name: Named after the Nash family that lived there
Known for: At one time had its own LDS branch and school; but when Franklin built an eight-room school in 1916, the district shut down schools in Nashville and Cherryville small, rural farming community at the mouth of Cub River; once had a school that also served as a church; a noted band, called the Cherryville Brass Band that played at many events
Location: Just north of Franklin on Hwy 91 toward Cub River
